Choice of Assignment/Activity B
Produce a video with a minimum duration of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes regarding First Aid Techniques to treat, dressings, and bandaging wounds that are effective and neat for victims of accidents as follows:
Situation 1 – Provide treatment and assistance by dressing the wound and bandaging it using the Reverse Spiral technique and applying a sling to a victim (boy/girl) who is suffering from a cut wound on the forearm caused by a sharp object and is bleeding profusely.
Your class teacher has asked you and some other friends to help her clean and brighten the classroom area for our comfort. The class teacher instructs you and four other friends to sweep the floor and wipe the mirrors while the rest of the group wipes the fans and arranges the tables. While cleaning the floor, you hear the sound of broken chairs and broken window panes. Someone informed you that one of your friends had been injured and was bleeding profusely on his right forearm as a result of being hit by a broken mirror.
Your classmates are crowding to see the incident. The glass may have hit a blood vessel because the blood flowed faster. Your quick action is to ask the help of another friend to inform the teacher and fetch the first aid box at the office. At the same time, you also saw the color of the victim’s face had become pale, and the victim was in shock.
What should you do next in this situation? In your estimation, a victim suffering from a cut wound on the forearm due to a sharp object and bleeding needs to be dressed and bandaged using the Reverse Spiral technique and support the victim’s forearm with a sling.
Task: Describe and act out the above scenes with your creativity. Clearly show the actions according to the steps and the effectiveness of the treatment given. Give a happy ending at the end of this situation.

Situation 2 – Treat an ankle joint injury of a sprained sports player (boy/girl) in a volleyball match by applying a cold compress and then bandaging the joint using the Figure of Eight technique.
Today is sports day at your school. Many students will participate in various school sports events. You and your team are not involved in the sports events but are on duty as emergency assistants with a teacher.
You and a few others are to be on duty at a volleyball event that will take place in the school hall. Your teacher has prepared and supplied a set of first aid kits for the event of any untoward incident. In the first match, there were no injuries. This volleyball match became more and more lively until the final took place. All the contestants are stressed and too eager to win it. Suddenly, an incident occurred where a player fell and sprained his right leg. The participant could not stand up, let alone walk. The referee continued to stop the match temporarily due to the incident and called the emergency aid team to assess and help the player.
In your initial examination, the player’s ankle became bluish and swollen. The referee asked you to carry the victim out of the court for emergency treatment. You had some experience helping sprained victims by applying cold compresses and then bandaging the joint using the Figure of Eight technique.
Show the best steps you can take with other friends to help the victim.
Task: Describe and act out the above scenes with your creativity. Clearly show the actions according to the steps and the effectiveness of the treatment given. Give a happy ending at the end of this situation.
